WEST have joined up with WHATSUP to put on a summer party in the beautiful North Devon resort of Woolacombe.
Please join us on the 17th to the 19th of august for a water sports and camping weekend.
The weekend will be based on a field that we have rented for the weekend . We have sole use of the field so there is plenty of room for camping and campervans. Small caravans are welcome but the entrance to the site is tight so larger caravans may struggle to get in.
Signs will be put up to guide you to the campsite.
The Site looks down over the valley to the ocean and gives us easy access to beaches that can cope with almost all wind conditions.
The site has water and will have toilets. Generators will provide power for lighting and sound systems but we cannot offer electric hook up.
The site does not have showers but there are several options to use facilities near by, or you can just get in the sea 🙂
We will be erecting several marquee’s to cope with the glorious sunshine we have ordered for the weekend, however if for some reason our order gets misplaced they will also act as shelter against the standard British summer weather.
There is no agenda for the weekend but we plan to have a BBQ on the saturday evening with campfire and music. Guests are free to come and go as they wish and while most of us will be spending the day at the beach plenty of other activities are available.
SUP sessions can be arranged though WHATSUP who will have a selection of the latest boards from Fanatic for people to try
Surf lessons can be booked at Woolacombe surf school.
Kitesurf lessons can be arranged with North Devon Kite school.
other activities can be found all around the local area including mountain biking, quad bike rides, horse ridding and fishing trips. If anyone needs help in organizing any of the above please get in touch.
WEST will have a selection of new kit from across our brands and we hope to be joined by some of our other brands so you will be able to check out all the latest boards foils and kites.
the event is family friendly and the site will have a quiet area for those with young kids and people not wishing to party to late. This obviously means we will be having a naughty area for those who believe sleeping is cheating ! For anyone in the middle you will find a spot that suits your needs.
Dogs are welcome but please bear in mind we will have children on site and other dogs. The field is part of a working farm and so livestock is likely to be present in the neighboring fields. As owners you know your dogs well enough to know if they can be trusted however any issues with dogs will be delt with quickly and if there is a problem they will be asked to leave.
As we will be staying on a working farm it is important to leave the campsite as we left it. We ask all guests to use the recycling bins that will be provided but any rubbish that cannot be burned needs to be disposed of by yourselves or taken away with you. we are very fortunate to be allowed access to this beautiful spot and wish to be able to use it again so please “leave no trace”
We will have a camp fire and a Gas BBQ will be available for everyone to use on both nights of the event we ask that no further fires are lit and if guest would like to light their own BBQ’s that they keep them off the grass.
As you can imagine we will have quite a bit of kit on site so there will be security on site through out the day to keep an eye on things while you are at the beach.
The camp site will be open for guests at 3:00pm on the Friday afternoon and you are free to use the site until Sunday evening. volunteers and crew will be onsite before and after the event so when you arrive please talk to one of the WEST team who will be able to advise you on a spot that’s right for you.
We are limited on numbers for the event so if you would like to join us please use the contact form bellow to book your tickets. Tickets cost £20 per adult and kids/under 14yrs are free. Please list how many adult and child tickets you need.
